Imhoof-Blumer publishes new and corrected Greek coin attributions across a wide geographical range, with particular strength in Asia Minor. Fourteen plates support close readings of legends, magistrates, civic epithets, local cults, and rare types drawn from public and private collections. Researchers can use the book to identify the origin of many later catalogue attributions and to trace specimens first known from Imhoof-Blumer’s own cabinet or from photographs and casts supplied by colleagues.

Because the work predates much of the modern archaeological, die-study, and provenance evidence, verify chronology, mint and ruler assignments, legend readings, authenticity, and present specimen locations against current corpora and databases.
