Robinson reconsiders the early sequence of Achaemenid coinage in light of Persian siglos hoards published by Noe. He contrasts earlier arrangements based on royal portraits or style with the implications of hoard associations. The article is useful for tracing the evidential basis of changes in the ordering of the royal archer types.
