Zervos reconstructs a group of early Ptolemaic Athena-type tetradrachms using Newell’s notes and the coins preserved at the American Numismatic Society. He considers whether the group can be identified with other reported Egyptian finds, comparing its types and condition with the surviving records. The article is particularly useful for studying the limits of a hoard reconstruction based on a dealer parcel and later archival evidence.
