This late supplement gathers additional eastern Mediterranean material, including dynastic and civic issues with Greek, Phoenician, or other local scripts. It can preserve early observations on dates, monograms, countermarks, and collection histories that later catalogues cite only indirectly. Like the rest of Mionnet’s Description, the entry is a nineteenth-century inventory of coins known from public cabinets, private collections, earlier books, and the market rather than a modern die corpus. Researchers should note Mionnet numbers, quoted owners, measurements, rarity marks, and cross-references, since these can connect a modern specimen to an early publication or dispersed cabinet.
The terminology, geography, authenticity judgments, dates, and attributions are often obsolete, and measurements may not follow modern conventions. Verify every identification against current corpora and use the original French volume and page when citing a specimen.
