Greenwell’s study organizes the diverse electrum staters and fractions attributed to Cyzicus by their changing badge types, while the tunny serves as the recurring civic mark. Six plates document mythological figures, animals, objects, and copied designs. Researchers can use the work to trace old type numbers, identify specimens and collection pedigrees, and understand the early debate over the chronology and monetary role of Cyzicene electrum.

Because the work predates much of the modern archaeological, die-study, and provenance evidence, verify chronology, mint and ruler assignments, legend readings, authenticity, and present specimen locations against current corpora and databases.
