This volume surveys Greek and Roman provincial coinage across Dacia, Moesia, and the western Black Sea region, with mint-by-mint descriptions of rulers, civic legends, magistrates, denominations, and reverse types. It remains useful for decoding older AMNG citations, comparing parallel issues among neighboring cities, and tracing the nineteenth-century location of specimens. The regional arrangement also helps place isolated coins within the monetary networks of the lower Danube and Pontic coast.

Because the work predates much of the archaeological and die-study evidence now available, check its chronology, ruler sequences, mint attributions, and readings of worn legends against current regional corpora, Roman Provincial Coinage, hoard evidence, and online museum records.
