Volume II is primarily the plate volume illustrating the types catalogued in Volume I. It is indispensable for checking whether a coin truly matches a cited Svoronos number, comparing portraits, control marks, dies, and fabric, and identifying specimens whose text descriptions are abbreviated. Because later catalogues often repeat a Svoronos reference without reproducing the plate, this volume provides the quickest way to test the visual basis of an old attribution. Use it together with Volume I’s catalogue and arguments.

Svoronos remains a numbering standard, not the final chronology. Check ruler and mint assignments, denominations, control systems, die links, and hoard dates against modern Ptolemaic corpora and recent archaeological evidence.
