Newell introduces his program of studying Alexander coinage through hoards and applies it to the Kyparissia find. He explains why groups of associated coins can test dates, mint assignments, and issue sequences more securely than isolated examples. This opening monograph provides context for his later Demanhur study and related Peloponnesian finds.
