Hill revisits the arrangement of early Lycian coinage established by Six and Babelon, adding newly available varieties and reconsidering the sequence. He distinguishes numismatic evidence from uncertain inscriptional interpretations and explicitly excludes the separate coinage of Phaselis. The article is a useful starting point for the history of Lycian attribution and classification.
