Ravel gives a dedicated treatment of the Corinthian-type coinage of Ambracia, beginning with the city’s geography and historical setting. The monograph is useful for separating the Ambracian series from the wider family of Pegasi. It complements his shorter notes on rare varieties and the broader catalogues of Corinth and its colonies.
