Noe’s first installment treats the incuse coinage of Metapontum, drawing on museum holdings, private collections, specimens, and casts. The foreword describes both the breadth of that evidence and its limits. This volume supplies the earlier portion of the sequence for readers already using Johnston’s Part Three in the library.
