Journal international d'archéologie numismatique, vol. XI

The eleventh volume continues the journal’s combination of Greek, Hellenistic, Roman provincial, and archaeological studies, with attention to newly reported specimens, museum accessions, local histories, and iconography. It is useful for following serial arguments from earlier volumes and for references that never appeared as separate monographs. As an Athens-based international journal, it often places coins beside inscriptions, excavation reports, seals, weights, and monuments rather than treating them solely as collectable objects. Researchers should search the contents, plates, museum reports, and bibliographic notices for first attributions, provenance clues, unpublished variants, and contemporary debate.

Because many contributions predate stratigraphic excavation, modern die studies, and current regional corpora, verify dates, mint assignments, readings, and reported find circumstances. Cite the individual article and page, not only the annual volume.
