Historical Geography AetoliaGreeceWestern Greece
Chronological Coverage Hellenistic
Subject Tags Agrinion HoardThompsonHoards

This omnibus includes Margaret Thompson’s publication of the Agrinion Hoard, a major body of evidence for Hellenistic chronology and circulation in western Greece, together with two other NNM studies. The seventy-seven plates permit detailed checking of specimens, die relationships, and group composition. It is most useful when the individual monograph, catalogue number, and plate are cited precisely, especially in work on Aetolian issues, neighboring federal coinages, and hoard-based dating.

Although these studies are substantially later than most works in the library, revise their chronologies and die sequences where later hoards, newly published dies, or corrected specimen provenances require it.
