Regling catalogues Edward Perry Warren’s Greek coins with thirty-seven plates and detailed entries arranged geographically. The volume is valuable for provenance research, since important Warren specimens later entered museums and other collections, and for identifying individual coins through weight, fabric, legends, and plate comparison. Regling’s commentary also records die links, unusual styles, and relationships to contemporary corpora, making the catalogue more analytical than a simple inventory.
Because the work predates much of the modern archaeological, die-study, epigraphic, and provenance evidence, verify dates, mint or ruler assignments, legend readings, authenticity, and current specimen locations against current corpora and databases.
