The Numismatic Chronicle 1869

The Numismatic Chronicle 1869 is the annual London volume cited as NC 1869. This volume comes from a period of expanding museum cataloguing and increasingly comparative work on Greek mints, kingdoms, legends, and metrology. It combines formal papers with brief communications, discoveries, book notices, and society records that document the evidence available to scholars before the great late nineteenth-century corpora.
