The Numismatic Chronicle 1839

The Numismatic Chronicle 1839 is the annual London volume cited as NC 1839. It belongs to the journal’s formative first series, when British collectors and antiquaries communicated newly observed coins, private-cabinet material, discoveries, translations, and correspondence. Greek articles are often short and specimen-driven, but can be the earliest printed record of a type or collection.
