The Numismatic Chronicle 1925 is the annual London volume cited as NC 1925. This volume belongs to the interwar phase, when die-linked chronology, careful hoard analysis, and specialized studies of individual mints and rulers were becoming central methods. Its articles and reviews can be important for the genealogy of standard classifications and for specimens documented before later market dispersal. Society proceedings and correspondence should not be skipped: they record exhibited coins, recent purchases, queries, donors, and informal observations that may supply provenance or a first notice. For a useful citation, record the article author, title, page range, and plate rather than citing only the year.

Because the volume predates modern excavation standards, comprehensive die databases, and many subsequent hoard publications, verify dates, mint and ruler assignments, readings, and reported provenances against current corpora and the present location of cited specimens.
