Kraay uses additions to Noe’s study of Caulonia to reconsider wider problems in south Italian coinage. A die link between incuse and double-relief issues is central to the opening argument. The article illustrates how a small number of well-recorded specimens can alter the sequence and interpretation of an established corpus.
