Ashton and Weiss re-examine the Rhodian drachms with a radiate head of Helios and a full-blown rose viewed from above. Newly recorded material and two hoards enlarge the evidence for arranging issues by their names, symbols, and die relationships. The study is useful for checking how additions to a corpus affect an established sequence while retaining the authors’ distinctions between observed connections and uncertain chronology.
