FOREWORD, door the present description the coins of Gherso nesus Taurica to Thrace included a manuscript Julius Friedlaender's before, which ones about until years 1868 was enough. Everything acquired since then, including the coins of the Collections Fox and Prokesch, have I described, too the existing manuscript for the most part completely reversed works and increased by additives. At the Rows of coins with the names of Romans Governor (Istrus, Marcianopolis, Nicopolis u. s.w.) has me Sir Dr. b. Pick essential supported. The register was created by my college, Dr. Menadier edited. The size of the coins is based on Mionnet's coin knife stated, the Weights the Precious metals according to grams. Added is the origin of the pieces, partly according to the name the former owner, partly according to the numbers of the sales additional catalogs of the collection.
