Revue Numismatique 1907 is an annual volume of the principal French numismatic journal, cited by year and article rather than as a monograph. Its ancient section combines substantial studies with shorter notes, discoveries, museum and collection reports, reviews, and proceedings. Reviews and bibliographic sections are useful for tracing obscure offprints, auction catalogues, and foreign-language publications and for seeing how new chronologies were received in France. Researchers working on Greek coinage should search the full table of contents and plates, because relevant material may appear under archaeology, epigraphy, glyptics, or institutional reports rather than under a regional coinage heading.
Because the volume predates most modern die studies and systematic archaeological publication, verify dates, mint assignments, legend readings, find circumstances, and present specimen locations. Cite the individual author, article, pages, and plates.
