This catalogue records the Greek coins of the Clarence S. Bement collection, with twenty-one plates and concise specimen descriptions. It is most useful for provenance research, since many Bement coins later entered other collections, and for identifying individual specimens through weight, type, and plate comparison. The geographical arrangement also provides a snapshot of American collecting and attribution practices immediately before major dispersals and institutional acquisitions.

Because the work predates much of the modern archaeological, die-study, and provenance evidence, verify chronology, mint and ruler assignments, legend readings, authenticity, and present specimen locations against current corpora and databases.
